about

Audio Chronicles Of The Drumhead, the 9th full-length release by The Elderbranch Campaign, is a set of interpretive soundscapes chronicling the overly civilized incivility of a drumhead or show trial. Metaphorically standing as an indictment on the state of the American justice system, the album has been described as “like justice itself being hopelessly crushed under an enormous, amorphous, rolling, crushing, billowing cloud... a chorus-like phalanx of austere faceless women with an aura of dull dark grey-blue, like a storm cloud full of extremely slow but unrelenting force - like a glacier or lava, crushing and churning - completely stoic and unmoved by any protest or sympathy."

Stylistically and musically the album is a logical progression from their Jovian Survey series, with synths, found objects, walls of distortion and highly processed field recordings creating complex and vivid audio sculptures that act as soundtracks for the mind.
ABSOLUTELY BEST EXPERIENCED OVER HEADPHONES.
